OpenDNS is one option for web content filtering. The service is free. GearyTech can work with you to establish an acceptable usage policy for your staff, get it communicated, and then implement filtering rules. Implementation is quick, inexpensive and very effective. Your staff will be notified when they attempt to reach a restricted site, and you can access reports with valuable information about your company's browsing activity.
Using MessageLabs, we can offer even more granular control. MessageLabs Managed Web Security allows you to do the same type of URL filtering, but also blocks spyware and viruses from being downloaded from web pages. Going further, you have the ability to exclude certain file types from being downloaded (music .MP3's for example) to conserve valuable bandwidth and disk space.
URL filtering can be time based - allowing you to be less restrictive during lunch hour or after hours.
Application Filtering
