Now YOU can have a Wiki too.
A wiki (['wi:.ki] <wick-ey>) is a type of website that allows users to easily add and edit content and is especially suited for collaborative writing. See Wikipedia for the largest, online, collaborative encyclopedia.
Wiki's are similar to Content Management Systems (CMS), but are typically more collaborative. The concept of a wiki is that the quality of content rises when everyone is allowed, even encouraged, to author and refactor any page.
Companies of all sizes are now beginning to utilize their own wiki's for both internal and external uses. Wiki's are very easy to setup and use, and offer a fantastic way of distributing information to your teams of people, and, if desired, letting them collaborate on the project. With regular contributions to your wiki, you will quickly realize that your wiki becomes a collection of everything you know about your business. It is a collection of your staff's combined knowledge about how to do anything in/for your company. In the end, a wiki can quickly become your most valuable asset. Just imagine how easy it would be to train a new hire if all you had to do was show them how to use the wiki!
